Dim to Warm 2216 50W LED Strip Light 1800K-3000K
Solid Apollo's new Dim to Warm 2216 50W LED Strip Light is a powerful, high quality LED strip that introduces the ability to dim from warm white (3000K) to a warm, cozy ultra warm white (1800K) just like a classic incandescent bulb or old traditional Edison light bulbs that have a tungsten filament. These new strips include technologically advanced sensing chips that will automatically adjust warmness without the need of special controllers or dimmers. Traditional LED strips retain their color temperature as you dim; a daylight white strip still appears as daylight white whether fully lit or dimmed completely to 10%. Dim to Warm allows you to dim the LED strip from a standard warm white to a rich and inviting ultra warm white, creating unmatched ambiance for living spaces, hospitality locations, or anywhere a cozy accent is needed.
The Dim to Warm strip pairs an ultra warm white LED with a warm white LED. When fully lit, both LEDs are on, blending imperceptibly to create warm white. As the strip is dimmed, the white LED dims first leaving the ultra warm white LED to provide a soft, warm glow. The Dim to Warm strip is easily controlled with any wall dimmer or any of our wireless dimmers. Despite using dual LEDs to achieve this gorgeous visual effect, installation is a breeze. Simply add any wall dimmer together with a dimmable transformer and power source and the strip is ready for installation.
Easily and expertly create runs of elegant mood lighting with our aluminum LED channels. These channels will create attractive mounts for the Dim to Warm strips while diffusing and acting as a heat sink to increase the longevity of the strip. Craft shelf lighting, under-cabinet lighting, cove lighting, stylish accents, and more with these incredible new strips and accessories.

Hard to find this specification where there's enough lumens with warming effect while also having a relatively short cut length/interval for more intricate installations. I used this product for an indirect cove/crown molding hallway ceiling, and dims nicely to extremely low level. Full brightness, however, the color temperature appears off from the rated 3000K and CRI 90+. To my eye it appears to have a pinkish hue compared to other retail bulbs with similar profile (same wall and ceiling paint color, so that's not the reason for the noticeable difference). The other design consideration that one might need to consider is the point at which there is a transition to lower color temperature. Given the high lumen output, this product seems to have a slightly unnatural feel from that which true blackbody radiation gives off. Meaning, the color temperature is much warmer even at a high lumen output, so it doesn't mimic incandescent light quite right. Nevertheless, still a solid product and might buy again depending on how it compares to Flexfire's "Sienna" product which I've not tried yet. -

***UPDATE***
After swapping out the magnetic transformer (MLV) for three ELV transformers both the stroboscopic effect and color temperature concerns are gone. Five stars now. Additionally, the brightness seems to have increased as well, and is more than adequate for a 3' wide hallway on both sides (perimeter, really).
